Description Under the direction of the Trailer Shop Manager, the Porter will retrieve/return trailer unit(s) that are scheduled for work. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Provides delivery and transportation support for sales operations Retrieve/Return Trailer Unit(s) that are ready to be worked on Move Trailer around for customers to different locations Park Trailers either in the shop and/or in an open space on property Ensure the parking lot is organized allowing the flow of traffic to be functional Maintain and Update the inventory of trailer units parked on property Performs other duties as assigned Requirements Minimum of 1 year of porter experience Current CDL License A DOT physical examination clearance card must be held by the employee Good communication skills SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: None PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. TRAVEL: Approximately 60-80% of time spent in this role requires local and out of town travel. TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Employment with Matthews Motors will be on an at will basis.
