The Portfolio Associate will provide onsite and remote federal program leadership for the Department of Energy’s Office of Energy Dominance Financing (EDF). RESPONSIBILITIES Assist in financial and portfolio-related research to support the Office of Energy Dominance Financing (EDF) Provide research support on market and industry sectors across the Portfolio Management Division Complete performance analysis Assist the Portfolio Management Division in gathering information on specific transactions and aggregating, compiling, and presenting this information Assist reporting personnel in gathering information on specific transactions, sectors, and industries, and aggregating, compiling, and presenting this information Provide research and data analysis support to the Portfolio Management Division's transactional data; Provide research and data analysis support on market and industry sectors Gather and analyze market data and devise methods and procedures for obtaining data Make recommendations to Portfolio Management Division personnel based on data analysis and their input Collaborates with other specialists as needed to perform research and analytical work Analyze various types of data and prepare reports based on research results Review all reports, including performance, for accuracy, and work with Operations to ensure accurate reporting Assist Portfolio Management Division personnel in providing financial analyses, including but not limited to spreading financials, reviewing and analyzing DOE financial positions and exposure, loan reviews, etc. Research project-related issues as requested (e.g., rating agency reports) Perform other duties as requested by the employer or client Requirements QUALIFICATION Minimum of US Citizenship required to obtain client-issued Public Trust Minimum of three years of analyzing, negotiating, and/or structuring loan transactions in a lending environment Excellent written and oral communication skills Excellent attention to detail and an understanding of fundamental business writing Expertise in Microsoft Office Products (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) Train new staff on procedures as necessary Is well organized, possesses the ability to prioritize appropriately, and is adept at time management EDUCATION Must have a Bachelor’s with 4 years of experience or Master’s with two years of experience COMPENSATION Includes paid holidays, vacation, sick leave, 401k matching, life insurance, health, vision, and dental benefits.
