JOB DESCRIPTION

Directly, and through staff, manages and coordinates credit analysis activities to support Relationship Managers and Underwriters in Consumer and Business Banking. Supports underwriting and monitoring large balance transactions by directly ensuring timely and accurate completion of financial statement spreads, quarterly trend analyses, and covenant compliance tests in accordance with bank spreading standards and bank policies. Oversees maintenance of a compliance monitoring database that tracks credit approval requirements and receipt of customer’s financial reporting requirements. Ensures service level adherence and successful completion of assigned requests. Accomplishes results through the effective management of staff that may range from mid-level non-exempt through exempt level professionals. Administers corporate policies and procedures, and ensures compliance with applicable laws, regulations and audit requirements. Participates in the review, recommendation and implementation of new systems, standards and procedures affecting assigned units.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience
  • Three to five years of related experience

Preferred Skills/Experience

  • Working knowledge of applicable credit management processes, as well as related financial analysis and credit monitoring activities
  • Ability to read and comprehend credit write-ups and loan documentation
  • Understanding of basic credit analysis and credit administration preferred
  • Ability to independently apply credit policies and procedures
  • Demonstrated ability to directly supervise technical staff and provide effective customer service
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Good organizational and project management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
