Description
The Construction Portfolio Manager is responsible for ensuring that construction loan portfolios remain in scope, on schedule, and within budget from closing to repayment by gathering and analyzing credit information on their assigned portfolios. Key Responsibilities * Report on the assigned portfolio, including asset quality, stress testing, industry and market analysis, asset allocation, reserves, and non-performing loan analysis. * Review and approve construction draws, including change orders, soft costs, and lien waivers ensuring advances are warranted by verified work-in-place. * Ensure projects are on budget and on schedule; requesting quotes/order appraisals and environmental reports as needed. * Serve as the loan-level expert for a portfolio of complex construction, permanent, and/or C&I loans. * Prepare credit reviews to assess asset quality, including performance against original underwriting expectations. * Experience writing policies and procedures for collateral monitoring, workouts, and periodic loan reviews. * Draft memos for any substantial changes in a borrower's financial stability or ownership structure. * Maintain knowledge of market conditions. Education and Experience * College degree preferred. * Three to five years in commercial loan portfolio management or commercial credit analysis/underwriting as a minimum. * Deep experience with financial analysis. * Working knowledge of commercial lending, e.g. commercial real estate, construction and C&I products. * Experience with Abrigo/Sageworks and Jack Henry products a plus.   Physical Requirements & Working Conditions * Ability to travel to branches, off-site training, and/or meetings as required * Lobby/professional office environment with moderate sound.
