Description

Argus is where smart people belong and where they can grow. We answer the challenge of illuminating markets and shaping new futures.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

Argus produces commercial conferences for the energy and commodities markets. We specialise in agriculture, chemicals, crude oil, energy transition, fertilizers, generation fuels, LPG, metals, oil products. Argus has dedicated conference teams in Houston, London, Moscow, Sao Paulo, Shanghai and Singapore, running a global portfolio of 40+ events.
We are currently looking for a driven, commercially astute Portfolio Manager to join a dynamic global production team within our industry-leading international portfolio.
In this role, you will be responsible for the delivery of the crude oil portfolio, ensuring these events are commercially successful, well attended and critically respected conferences. The crude portfolio consists of three conferences in London, Houston and Rio de Janeiro. Your overarching objective will be to establish pre-existing conferences as market leaders with regular annual growth, while also introducing new launch events into the portfolio if appropriate. You must be able to originate, develop and execute a commercial value proposition for your overall portfolio and for each individual event over a 1-3 year timeline.
You will write compelling conference programmes, with exciting and innovative formats in addition to identifying and securing a stellar speaker line-up of influential industry leaders, while managing the project from inception to completion. The role is highly collaborative – the ability to work across different areas of the business with internal stakeholders is critical. International travel will be needed as the Portfolio Manager will attend all events they deliver and may also travel for client meetings.
