POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Primarily responsible for managing existing and prospective commercial banking relationships. Proactively identifies credit risks through the review of financial statements and strategic customer service. Key tasks include preparation for term loan reviews and renewals of commercial and agricultural lending relationships. Partner with a Relationship Manager and Loan Associate by leading, delegating, and supporting a team to effectively manage a loan portfolio of approximately $75MM to $120MM or approximately 150 to 200+ business lending relationships.
Position Responsibilities: ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Maintain timely loan payments, renewals, term loan reviews, and determining accurate risk ratings
Lead and delegate the preparation of a credit for underwriting by efficiently driving workflows and identifying barriers to efficient underwriting and approval Analyze historic and projected financial performance to determine businesses and personal repayment capacity Ensure the receipt and review of financial and non-financial covenants Clear and continuous communication between customers, Relationship Managers, Loan Associates, Credit Analysis, and loan approvers
BSA REQUIREMENTS:
It is the responsibility of all employees to make all reasonable efforts to identify suspicious cash activity which may be associated with customer attempts to avoid the reporting requirements of the BSA or government or federal tax reporting, as well as potential money laundering resulting from criminal / illegal activities. All suspicious activity, regardless of the amount involved in the transaction, must be reported to a supervisor or Branch Manager for further investigation and possible reporting by the Bank Secrecy Officer to the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN).
No director, officer, employee, or agent who reports a suspicious transaction under the requirements of the BSA may notify any person involved in the transaction that the transaction has been reported.
Each employee of the bank shall be required to complete Bank Secrecy Act / Suspicious Activity training periodically which is commensurate with the duties of their position
