We are pleased to announce an incredible, new career opportunity to join us here at Phoenix Group as a Portfolio Monitoring and Workout Senior Analyst to join our Global Investment Research and Ratings team within the Asset Management (RS&AM) function. This role will suit those who have specific experience in portfolio monitoring and workout; to manage the ongoing surveillance of credit portfolios.

EXPERIENCE / KNOWLEDGE - ESSENTIAL (MINIMUM CRITERIA)

  • Workout and restructuring experience
  • Knowledge of credit risk management and loan workout processes and has ideally gained experience in a similar Asset Manager, Bank or Credit Ratings Agency
  • Strong analytical and financial modelling skills (building and maintaining)
  • Familiarity with regulatory frameworks (e.g. PRA/FCA guidelines)
  • Proficiency in Excel (Intermediate), Power BI/Tableau, and credit risk systems (e.g., Moody’s Risk Analyst, S&P Capital IQ)Ability to apply sound judgement, form and present opinions on an asset, including the ability to write credit reports highlighting key risks to range of stakeholders.

Responsibilities

ROLE CONTEXT

The Portfolio Monitoring and Workout Senior Analyst is responsible for the ongoing surveillance of credit portfolios, identifying early warning signals, monitoring covenants, managing covenant waivers in close coordination with the Private Markets Investment Team and supporting the management and resolution of distressed or underperforming assets.
This role plays a critical part in preserving asset quality, minimising losses, and ensuring regulatory compliance through proactive risk management and strategic workout solutions.
