WHAT PORTFOLIO MANAGEMENT CONTRIBUTES TO CARDINAL HEALTH

Portfolio Management is responsible for assessing customer needs, market conditions and competition to inform business strategy. Marketing implements the strategy through developing, commercializing and monitoring the appropriate products and services.
The team collaborates cross functionally to deliver sales, profitability and inventory productivity goals by capitalizing on market trends and reimbursement changes. Manages and optimizes supplier relationships and product portfolio to drive financial results, increase market share and exceed customer expectations.

JOB SUMMARY

The Portfolio Operations Analyst supports key sourcing initiatives and project implementation for all atHome Solutions categories. Work includes implementation of contract management tool, tracking of supplier EDI onboarding, and price change analysis. The role reports to a Manager of Portfolio Operations who oversees operational process improvement for all atHome & Edgepark categories. The analyst is a support function to drive forward impactful projects.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 4-8 years of experience in sourcing, sourcing operations, EDI or contract management preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field, or equivalent work experience, preferred
Responsibilities
  • Identifies cadence for onboarding suppliers onto EDI.
  • Tracks progress and holds internal teams accountable for progress of EDI implementation.
  • Aligns with project management on phased implementation of new contract management tool. Tracks internal team progress and holds key stakeholders accountable.
  • Builds knowledge base to be business unit SME for EDI and contract management.
  • Identifies risk and opportunity via financial analysis of cost change impact.
  • Collaborates with cross functional stakeholders including Pricing, Marketing, Legal, Quality, Regulatory, Planning, Inventory Management, Finance, Sales and Operations to gain internal alignment and gathers information necessary to execute portfolio management tactics.
  • Continually monitors revenue and expenses for product category against established goals. Reports to Manager, Portfolio Management on performance of product category and individual products.
  • Seeks guidance as necessary from more experienced Manager, Portfolio management within same products division.
