* Permanent full-time position * Sydney CBD location * Flexible working and hybrid work environment * Delivery of innovative solutions to information and reporting needs for stakeholders The purpose of the Senior Portfolio Advisor/ Portfolio Advisor role is to support Business to achieve high performance and maximise profitability for the Claims Contracts division. Working closely with stakeholders, the role provides analytical  support to improve the financial performance of the Claims Contracts business. This includes quality performance and financial reporting, remuneration and opportunity analysis, and pricing and financial support to enable the Business to: * - deliver effectively against current financial objectives, while meeting or exceeding the needs of our customers;  * - achieve industry leading claims performance and maximise remuneration;  * - grow the portfolio and improve profitability.     What you’ll do: * Use a strong understanding of the remuneration model and portfolio/scheme performance to provide regular performance reporting that informs  and improves portfolio performances. * Conduct analysis using statistical modelling and data analytic skills to identify key drivers of portfolio performance. * Review and challenge claims performance to support portfolio performance improvements.  * Work closely with Claims teams to identify underperforming performing segments and investigate performance drivers where required. * Develop and enhance performance reporting to meet requirements under the icare contract.   What you’ll bring: * At least three years’ experience using SAS, SQL or R, Excel, and other data analytics tools. * A degree in Business, Commerce, Statistics, Actuarial Studies or other relevant field is mandatory. * Strong data analytics, data science and programming skills are desirable * Relevant general insurance or Personal Injury Claims business experience is preferred.  * Highly experienced in dealing with complex data structure and data analytics, data scientist skills preferred    What we can offer * A range of flexible working and leave options, including 20 weeks paid parental leave, 4 weeks paid secondary carer parental leave and unlimited paid emergency response leave * Discounts and offers on a range of retail favourite stores as well as insurance products * Give back to our communities with payroll giving, donation matching and paid volunteer leave * Invest in your brighter future with ongoing study support and career development programs; and * Prioritise your work/life balance with our robust employee assistance program and dedicated employee council.   Employee benefits | Suncorp Group [https://www.suncorpgroup.com.au/careers/benefits]  At Suncorp we believe we are our best when our workforce is as diverse, talented, and passionate as the communities in which we live and operate, and where our people feel included, valued and connected.
