We are looking for a Portfolio Solutions Senior Analyst. This is a remote position. Experience must be within the Insurance Industry in the Delegated Authority or Portfolio Solutions market. Experience working for an insurance carrier or MGA in Delegated Underwriting, Delegated Operations, or Technical Operations is required.

Allianz Commercial (AzC) is a trusted partner for a wide range of commercial and specialty insurance risks. As a leading insurance company globally, our portfolio includes insurance plans for mid-sized to large enterprises and specialist risks, complemented by proactive risk management services.
The portfolio solutions team is expanding its presence in distribution channels across North America, overseeing key relationships for the wholesale and MGA/programs sector for all specialty lines of business. Our team manages delegated underwriting authorities and portfolios. We focus on governance frameworks, process improvement, and proactive engagement with technical underwriting and operational aspects.
The Impact You Will Have
Reporting to the Regional Head of Portfolio Solutions and Delegated Authority,this position will coordinate with Line of Business leaders, ensuring seamless integration and execution of portfolio strategies. This role involves representing Allianz Portfolio Solutions at external events, effectively communicating and advancing Allianz’s interests across all aspects of Portfolio Solutions and Delegated Authority.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with Global and Regional colleagues to identify and shortlist key opportunities.
  • Implement structured processes for onboarding and ongoing management, aligning with Functional Rules and Internal Frameworks.
  • Work with underwriting teams and SMEs to improve processes and meet regulatory requirements.
  • Develop streamlined procedures to handle increasing workload and portfolio growth.
  • Oversee the implementation of the bordereaux and facility reporting system.
  • Maintain relationships with stakeholders including Claims, Compliance, Finance, Actuarial, and Operations.
  • Educate and support underwriters in technical and facility management processes.
  • Coordinate onboarding and renewal of MGA and facilities.
  • Demonstrate strong data management and interrogation skills.
  • Undertake ad hoc tasks as directed by the Line Manager.

What You’ll Bring to the Role– 

  • 5+ years’ experience in the Insurance Industry in Delegated Authority or Portfolio Solutions market. Experience in Delegated Underwriting, Delegated Operations, or Technical Operations is required (and must be with a carrier or MGA/MGU).
  • Strong stakeholder management skills.
  • Excellent time management and multitasking abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
  • Proficient communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience working for a complex global matrix, insurance carrier organization.
  • Preferably a bachelor degree in Risk Management, Insurance, Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Law, or other appropriate discipline. Completion of a professional insurance qualification also preferred.
  • Ability to analyze highly complex data, from multiple sources, in detail.
  • The ability to utilize AI tools to support day-today tasks, improve efficiency, and contribute to data-driven decision-making is valuable. A willingness to learn and explore how AI can enhance your role and the broader organization is expected.

The annualized base pay range for this role is $94,409 - $162,417. The annual base salary range represents a nationwide market range. The actual salary for this position may be above and will be determined by several factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role, the skills, education, training, credentials, and experience of the candidate. The base pay is just one component of the AzC total compensation package. As part of our comprehensive compensation and highly rated benefits programs, employees are also eligible for annual performance-based cash incentive awards
