As a Portfolio Specialist, you will join the Portfolio Management team where you will be contributing to collaboration with other departments of the Foundation in a project-centric way to support and coordinate portfolio management processes. The position is part of the Impact, Projects and Portfolio department, which comprises 16 dedicated colleagues. The department focuses on impact assessment, project management tools and portfolio management. Responsibilities are divided into individual areas of expertise and collaborative projects, creating a dynamic and supportive work environment. The job We are looking for a driven and talented colleague for our Portfolio Management team to help coordinate, optimize and execute on portfolio management processes. As part of our team, you will play an important role in supporting the Senior Portfolio Manager in optimizing and developing the existing portfolio management practices. Your tasks will include, but not be limited to: Help overseeing the cross-functional project portfolio to ensure alignment with strategic objectives, resource optimization, and timely delivery. Support the development and maintenance of project reporting tools and dashboards to provide clear visibility into project status Supportthe continuously improved PM governance model, project execution framework, and supporting processes to drive consistency and quality Supporting the portfolio roadmap and ensure alignment with internal stakeholders Help develop and implement strategies to gain synergies across the different services Ad hoc assistance with various projects. Professional and Personal Qualifications We are looking for a candidate with at least a few years of relevant experience within process management, portfolio management, and/or business development. In addition, we expect that you have: A MSc within one of the scientific focus areas of the Foundation e.g. natural sciences, health sciences or business development/administration Experience with process optimization and improvement Strong user in the MS Office package and particularly in Excel, with proven experience and strong interest in working with data Skills within graphic design and data analytics are considered an advantage Capability to understand the scientific community/ecosystem, and a passion for the Foundation’s vision and focus areas Possesses strong verbal and written communicative skills in English and has a strong attention to details Team player that thrives on succeeding together As a person, you are proactive and take pride in delivering your work of the highest quality.
