[https://publicstorage.dc2.pageuppeople.com/384/ProviderAsset/scribble/f37d051b-b9e9-46d4-b9a8-d183a510e0d5.png] The Trauma and Acute Surgery Unit (TASU) is a fast paced, acute ward environment, and prides itself on a high standard of acute general surgical and trauma nursing care.  TASU prides itself on exemplifying the OneHealth CARE values of Compassion, Accountability, Respect and Excellence, and is seeking a Nurse Unit Manager who will lead this amongst the team.  The Role: * Provide clinical and operational leadership to ensure safe, high-quality patient care. * Coordinate staffing, rostering, and workforce management to support service delivery. * Oversee clinical governance, risk management, and compliance with Tasmanian Health Service policies and standards. * Support, mentor, and develop nursing staff through performance management and education. * Manage budgets, resources, and equipment efficiently within allocated funding. * Lead quality improvement initiatives and contribute to accreditation and patient safety outcomes. * Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure effective patient flow and continuity of care. * Promote a positive workplace culture aligned with Tasmanian Health values and professional standards. Details of appointment: Fixed term full time, day worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible for a period of up to twelve (12) months.  *notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant. Salary: $134,109 to $140,384 per annum. Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount. * Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement 2023.
