As the major clinical teaching and research centre, RHH collaborates with the University of Tasmania and other institutions. All our services work closely together to focus on delivering excellence in healthcare to achieve improved outcomes for our consumers, our workforce, and the Tasmanian community. The work includes a broad range of interesting and complex specimens across almost all disciplines, including gastroenterology, dermatology, gynae-oncology, cardiothoracic surgery, breast surgery, neurosurgery, nephrology, plastic surgery, genitourinary and haematology. RHH provides the statewide non-coronial adult and perinatal post-mortem service. The department will be commencing a new solid-tumour molecular pathology service in 2026. THE ROLE * Participate in the Anatomical Pathology services provided by the department of Anatomical Pathology at the RHH. * Conduct tissue review meetings. * Undertake undergraduate teaching of medical students of the University of Tasmania. * Provide supervision and training of postgraduate specialist trainees. * Maintain involvement in research activities including supervision of research students.
