ABOUT THE ROLE As Senior Environmental Officer (Renewables), you will drive best-practice environmental impact assessment (EIA) for renewable and major projects. * Lead and deliver EIA processes for renewable and major developments. * Provide authoritative, risk-based advice on environmental impacts and mitigation. * Prepare high-quality Environmental Assessment Reports and statutory instruments. * Contribute to strategic improvements in assessment frameworks and processes. * Represent the EPA in cross-agency forums, committees, and industry engagement. HOURS PER WEEK 36.75 hours (or part time hours, by negotiation). PERIOD OF APPOINTMENT 24 months. DESIRABLE REQUIREMENTS * A degree in Science, Engineering, Environmental Studies or related field, or an equivalent qualification from a recognised tertiary institution. * Detailed understanding of environmental management as related to renewable energy would be considered advantageous. * A current motor vehicle driver’s licence.
