Working closely with medical, nursing, and allied health staff, Specialist Pharmacists contribute advanced clinical knowledge, medication management, and evidence‑based advice in their area of expertise. The team is committed to patient safety, quality use of medicines, and continuous improvement, fostering a collaborative, professional, and supportive workplace focused on delivering high‑quality, patient‑centred care. * We are a small pharmacy team dedicated to providing high quality alcohol and drug treatment for the state of Tasmania. * Multidisciplinary workplace requiring strong specialist knowledge of Alcohol, tobacco and other drugs, and teamwork skills. * On-site work only, working from home not applicable. Weekend and public holiday work essential. The Role: Work as part of a multidisciplinary team aimed at optimising patient outcomes by providing a specialist clinical pharmacy service to the Pharmacotherapy and Inpatient Withdrawal Units of the Alcohol and Drug Service and other centres as required. * Provide comprehensive pharmaceutical care in the clinical area and act as a resource pharmacist for the particular area of speciality. * Work within Alcohol and Drug policies for the provision of services to the Pharmacotherapy and Inpatient Withdrawal Units and dispense and dose for Pharmacotherapy patients on a daily basis. * Dispense medications for patients being discharged from the Inpatient Withdrawal Units. Provide information and education to staff and clients on Consumer Medication Information. Details of Appointment Fixed term part time, shift-worker position working 32 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible until 4 January 2027. *Notwithstanding hours may be negotiated with the successful applicant * Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time and part time vacancies. Salary: $110,425 - $121,097 per annum.
