This includes: * Overseeing local promotion, campaign development, and recruitment initiatives to encourage increased participation in the NBCSP; * Monitoring, evaluating, and reporting on the effectiveness of the NBCSP; * Leading and participating in quality improvement activities to improve the functioning of the NBCSP, both locally and nationally; * Supporting program participants with a positive screening result toward safe and timely diagnostic assessment; and * Contributing to the strategic direction and policy development for the NBCSP. The Role: Operating as part of a small team, this role is responsible for the statewide follow-up of NBCSP participants in Tasmania who have had a positive faecal occult blood test (FOBT) result to minimise undue delays in bowel cancer diagnoses, help minimise participant uncertainty, and ultimately contribute to better patient outcomes. You will need * Knowledge and skills, or the ability to rapidly acquire knowledge and skills, in the areas of bowel cancer pathogenesis, histopathology, population screening and/or cancer screening. * Well-developed computing skills/practical working knowledge of register and database software applications. * Highly developed written and oral communication skills with the ability to successfully liaise with clients, community members, program staff and other members of the health care team. * Knowledge and skills to support the development and maintenance of policy documents and quality improvement processes in relation to Follow-Up processes. Salary: $80,524 to $109,175 per annum (Pro rata).
