PERIOD OF APPOINTMENT Fixed Term until 30 June 2028. HOURS PER FORTNIGHT 73.50 hours per fortnight - flexible options available.  DUTIES * Undertake the day-to-day operations of the applications for Victims of Crime Assistance including response to correspondence and liaison with applicants and/or solicitors. * Assess applications made under the Victims of Crime Assistance Act and provide relevant information and advice as required. * Finalise applications for hearing or decisions on paper, including preparing associated payment requests. * Undertake all duties associated with the Victims Support Services website ensuring the information is current and easily understood. * Undertake research, either individually or in conjunction with other staff and put forward recommendations for consideration. * Contribute to the development of the organisation’s policy, procedures and practices. * Liaise with Government and non-Government organisations with a view to maximising their input to the delivery of services to victims of crime. * Perform any other assigned duties for the Victims Assistance Unit at the classification level that are within the employee’s competence and training.
