The Role: The successful applicant will primarily liaise with internal stakeholders such as nursing & medical staff and a wide range of hospital staff. Duties include, however are not limited to: * Working in conjunction with Surgical Access Nurses to facilitate patient theatre bookings.  * Proficiency in ICT, particularly utilising Microsoft packages and databases. * Utilising software such as iPM, DMR, RMS and various other hospital systems on an ad hoc basis.   * High-level communication with internal and external stakeholders. * High-level efficiency and organisational skills particularly when managing patient files. Within Surgical and Perioperative Services, we promote productivity in conjunction with upskilling of staff to enable progression within the stream. You will need: * Highly developed written and verbal communication and conflict resolution skills with the ability to interact with patients and relatives in a confidential and sensitive manner. * Demonstrated ability to organise set priorities, problem solve and meet deadlines together with a demonstrated capacity to handle a number of tasks concurrently in a demanding environment. * Ability to work effectively in a team environment, competency in communicating with all levels of staff in a professional manner and willingness to assist with information, training and performance evaluation of less experience staff. Details of appointment: Permanent part time, day worker position, working 68.4 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible. *notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant. Salary: General Stream Band 3 $73,811 to $79,779 per annum.
