A safe environment is critical for the healthy development and rehabilitation of young people in a youth justice detention centre. All young people and workers (including AYDC staff, teachers, nurses, service providers and contractors) need to feel safe at all times while on the site. A critical component of that safety is security. About the Role As a Safety and Security Officer you will support and maintain the safety and security of AYDC by controlling access to the centre, screening for contraband, monitoring surveillance cameras and managing personal security equipment.
