The Team: The Royal Hobart Hospital is Tasmania’s largest tertiary referral centre, and our pharmacy team comprised of specialist pharmacists, rotational pharmacists and leadership roles forms the largest division of the pharmacy department. We provide comprehensive services across diverse areas, including inpatient care, outpatient clinics, and high-acuity settings. Our pharmacists collaborate closely with medical, nursing, and allied health teams to deliver exceptional, patient-centred, medicine-related care. The Role: As the senior pharmacist, provide pharmaceutical care to critical care patients as well as training, professional supervision and support to pharmacy staff within the Relevant Hospital. Coordinate the practice of clinical pharmacy activities and the provision of drug information in the specialist area of critical care medicine. Provide a high standard of clinical care in accordance with professional standards, best practice and person-centred care to inpatients, outpatients, and staff of the Department under the general direction and guidance of the Relevant Team Leader or Manager across a range of specialty areas, including Clinical Pharmacy services, Dispensary services and Compounding and Cancer Support Services. You will need to: * Provide and coordinate comprehensive pharmaceutical care as part of a multidisciplinary team in the area of critical care medicine, including dispensing and patient counselling and the provision of professional advice and consultancy services to other health professionals. *  Educate pharmacy staff and undergraduate and postgraduate students in the theory and practice of clinical pharmacy services and supervise other pharmacists and associated support staff in the specialist areas. *  Take an active role in the maintenance and provision of drug information and drug utilisation evaluation within the specialty areas and in education programs for other health professionals (including undergraduates). Details of appointment: Fixed term part time, shift worker position, working 38 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible until 13 February 2027.  *notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant. Salary: $110,425 to $121,907 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount. * Salary range is in accordance with Allied Health Professionals Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement No.2 of 2022.
