In this role you will: * Provide strategic direction and operational oversight across complex environmental initiatives within the Environment Strategic Business Unit. * Lead key conservation initiatives including the Orange‑bellied Parrot Program, driving real impact for Tasmania’s threatened species. * Manage a team, resources and partnerships to deliver high‑quality conservation outcomes. * Build strong relationships with government, scientific, community and industry stakeholders through effective communication and collaboration. * Monitor progress, assess risks and ensure programs are delivered efficiently, transparently and in line with departmental and legislative requirements. HOURS PER FORTNIGHT 73.50 hours per fortnight (minimum 58.80 hours, by negotiation). PERIOD OF APPOINTMENT 2 years. DESIRABLE REQUIREMENTS * A Degree or Advanced Diploma, or equivalent level, in Project Management and Natural Resource Management or a science discipline, relevant to the nature of the work to be undertaken, as provided by either a university, a vocational education organisation or a registered and accredited training provider. * A current motor vehicle driver’s licence.
