In this role you will: * Provide strategic direction and operational oversight across complex environmental initiatives within the Environment Strategic Business Unit. * Lead key conservation initiatives including the Orange‑bellied Parrot Program, driving real impact for Tasmania’s threatened species. * Manage a team, resources and partnerships to deliver high‑quality conservation outcomes. * Build strong relationships with government, scientific, community and industry stakeholders through effective communication and collaboration. * Monitor progress, assess risks and ensure programs are delivered efficiently, transparently and in line with departmental and legislative requirements. DESIRABLE REQUIREMENTS * A Degree or Advanced Diploma, or equivalent level, in Project Management and Natural Resource Management or a science discipline, relevant to the nature of the work to be undertaken, as provided by either a university, a vocational education organisation or a registered and accredited training provider. * A current motor vehicle driver’s licence.
