Description

The Team: The Family Violence Counselling and Support Service (FVCSS) offers a specialised counselling and support to assist adults, children and young people, children who have experienced family violence. This service is part of the Safe at Home service system, with a strong focus on the safety and well-being of victim survivors of family violence. The Role: * Assist adults to recover from their experience of family violence through the provision of information, assessment, counselling, referrals, group work, and other appropriate forms of therapeutic intervention. * Contribute to and participate in the development, implementation, delivery and evaluation of programs and group sessions. * Provide information and support, referral and advice to clients and other service providers. * Assess and monitor the ongoing risk and safety needs of the adults affected by family violence who access the service Key Skills: * Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of family violence and its impact on adults. * Demonstrated ability to work effectively with adults with complex needs and apply appropriate models of intervention. * Demonstrated ability to exercise professional judgement and initiative, work with general supervision and seek guidance as appropriate. Details of appointment: Permanent, part time day worker, working 68.4 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible. *notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant. Salary: Allied Health Professional Level 1-2 $73,834 to $111,364 per annum + our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount. * Salary range is in accordance with Allied Health Professionals Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement No.2 of 2022 Salary Packaging: You’ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.
