We work closely with various services within not only Statewide Mental Health Services (SMHS) but also with the wider community services such as NDIS providers. We are a collaborative team that works with our consumers, their friends and families in their individualised recovery journey. We have a constantly developing activities and therapeutic groups program and we welcome new staff and new ideas to contribute to the activities program at the site. The Role: Works collaboratively with clients, other health care providers, stakeholder, families of clients and their carers in the delivery of therapeutic and/or occupational therapy programs You will need * Demonstrated capacity to work with people with mental illness and knowledge of client rehabilitation needs, client centred practice and the need to establish an environment of support. * Knowledge of resources and services available to support people with mental illness in the broader community, or the ability to quickly acquire this knowledge. * Demonstrated understanding of the principles of maintaining appropriate therapeutic relationships with clients. Details of appointment: Permanent part time, day worker position, working 30.4 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible. *Notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant. Salary: $70,033 to $75,114 per annum (Pro rata).
