THE ROLE * Within a primary health care framework, provide a social work service to individuals, families, groups and communities. * Deliver accessible and equitable social work services to adults in Southern Tasmania who experience psychosocial health issues. * Provide an effective, holistic psychosocial service that is evidence-informed, locally appropriate and sustainable. * As a senior member of the health care team provide support to leadership in developing, implementing and monitoring policies and practices that reflect the priorities and standards of the service. * Promote community awareness work with other agencies, organisations and the wider community to develop an integrated approach to delivering health services YOU WILL NEED * Comprehensive knowledge of Social Work theory as it applies to practice in an acute care and community setting hospital. * Ability to practice Social Work in an acute care hospital or community-based setting, with the ability to provide psycho-social assessments, casework and group work appropriate to the needs of the client group. * Ability to be self- motivated and self-directed and to optimise the use of resources. DETAILS OF APPOINTMENT Permanent part time, day worker position, working 45.6 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible. *Notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant. SALARY $81,614 to $117,074 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount. * Salary range is in accordance with Allied Health Professionals Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement No. 2 of 2025.
