We are the only public pathology service operating in North Tasmania. NTPS aims to deliver a high-quality service to general practitioners, medical specialists and private hospitals, providing patients with no out of pocket expenses for Medicare eligible tests. The team at NTPS comprises a large team involving multi-disciplinary scientists, technicians, non-technical staff and Pathologists. SALARY Specialist Medical Practitioner Level 1- Senior Specialist Medical Practitioner Level 3 $222,789 - $319,701 per annum, pro rata + 12% superannuation + access to salary packaging Please note that access to the Senior Specialist Medical Practitioner salary range $309,222 - $319,701 is subject to the successful applicant satisfying the criteria for Senior Specialist Medical Practitioner Level 1, 2 or 3 as outlined in the Medical Practitioners (Tasmanian State Service) Award * Salary range is in accordance with Medical Practitioners Agreement 2025 In addition, the following allowances and benefit, calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available * Salary packaging options include a range of benefits like living expenses up to $9,010 and $2,650 in meals and entertainment every year * Motor vehicle allowance of $28,786 per annum, pro rata * Participation in Private Practice Scheme 35% or allowance in lieu of private practice schemes 35%. Subject to approval from the Private Patient Scheme Committee (PPS), 35% of base salary plus on-call, pro rata) of additional payment will be paid from (PPS). If not admitted to the PPS, a 35% in lieu of PPS of base salary will be paid. * Continuing Professional Development Allowance of $17,483 per annum, pro rata * Travel and relocation assistance support available up to $15,000 for eligible appointees from overseas, and up to $10,000 for appointees from interstate. * Professional development and accelerated pathways. * A range of leave entitlements, including study leave and Professional Development Support. * Fitness Passport – You, and your family can access 40+ fitness facilities across Tasmania for just $14.50 per week per person, or $28.05 for a family. * other allowances as applicable.
