  • Taking a lead role in the implementation of Positive Behaviour Support (PBS), with a focus on reducing restrictive practices and ensuring all approaches align with regulatory standards, national policy, and sector best practice.
  • Developing, modelling, and embedding PBS strategies and interventions that enhance the quality of life for individuals with Learning Disabilities and Autistic people.
  • Working closely with support teams to promote PBS principles—providing hands-on guidance, coaching, mentoring, and training to build team confidence and consistency.
  • Carrying out functional assessments of behaviours of concern, and producing robust PBS plans incorporating function-based strategies tailored to individual needs.
  • Supporting the delivery of capable environments across all services, ensuring they are structured to meet the needs of those supported.
  • Line managing PBS Assistant Practitioners, offering supervision and professional development to ensure high standards of practice.
  • Undertaking additional duties as required by the Head of Practice Development to contribute to wider service improvement initiatives
