Description

COME AND JOIN ONE OF THE UK’S LARGEST PROVIDERS OF COMPLEX CARE. WE PROUDLY EMPLOY OVER 4000+ PEOPLE - NO MATTER WHAT YOUR EXPERIENCE, WE HAVE JOBS FOR EVERYONE.

Active Care Group is thrilled to offer this exciting opportunity for an experienced Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) Practitioner to join our expanding PBS team, supporting Ivetsey Bank Hospital. This specialist Tier 4 CAMHS unit provides high-quality care for young people with complex mental health needs, and we are looking for a dedicated practitioner to help shape the future of behaviour support within our service.
At Ivetsey Bank Hospital, our goal is to provide a safe, therapeutic environment where young people can stabilise, recover, and build resilience. As a key member of our multi-disciplinary team, you will play a vital role in shaping a positive, person-centred approach to care that supports both the young people and the wider hospital team. You will work closely with the operations and clinical teams to develop and implement ethical, least-restrictive behaviour support strategies for the young people with the aim of improving their overall well-being and quality of life.
This is a fantastic opportunity to shape the future of PBS within our service and make a real impact on young people’s lives.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive Functional Behaviour Assessments and develop scientifically grounded, data driven behaviour support plans, which effectively address behaviours of concern, promote skill development, and enhance overall well-being of the young people we support
  • Providing expert advice and recommendations to staff regarding Positive Behaviour Support
  • Implement, monitor and evaluate behaviour support plans with a focus on reducing behavioural incidents and improving quality of life for the young people we support
  • Undertake regular incident analyses and reviews to facilitate valuable learning outcomes and identify necessary adaptations to behaviour support plans
  • Provide coaching and mentoring to direct support staff to ensure the effective implementation of PBS strategies
  • Conduct debrief sessions with staff and the young people following significant incidents to promote well-being
  • Draft and present reports including visual graphs on the effectiveness of PBS interventions to MDT and other relevant stakeholders
  • Keeping people safe from any harm and protecting their human rights.
