We are committed to providing young adults with autism access to daytime opportunities that are enjoyable, meaningful, and promote independence in a safe and compassionate environment. This role is essential in helping individuals navigate daily challenges and achieve their personal goals. Using the frameworks of Positive Behavioural Support to provide a service within a dedicated day centre setting and activities within the community.
Our dedicated team works collaboratively with service users, their families, and a multidisciplinary team to craft individualised support plans that celebrate strengths and respect dignity.

As a Positive Behaviour Support Worker, you will:

  • Provide direct support during community activities like horse riding, cycling, swimming, surfing and more. Your enthusiasm will help our service users engage, learn, and have a blast.
  • Contribute to assessments to identify behavioural triggers and craft effective strategies that turn challenges into opportunities for growth. Your insights will pave the way for meaningful change!
  • Keep track of each success story by documenting progress and maintaining accurate records in line with our organisational policies. Your attention to detail will ensure that every achievement is recognised and celebrated!
  • Use active support techniques to help our service users achieve meaningful life experiences and work towards their personal goals. Every step you take will empower them to lead fulfilling lives.
  • Work hand-in-hand with families and multidisciplinary teams to craft individualised care plans that truly reflect the unique strengths and aspirations of each service user. Together, we’ll create a supportive network that transforms lives!

What We’re Looking For:

  • Relevant qualifications in Social Care, Psychology, or a related field (e.g., NVQ Level 2 or above in Health and Social Care is desirable).
  • Experience supporting individuals with learning disabilities or ASD.
  • A heart full of compassion, a spirit of patience, and a passion for helping others.
  • Strong communication skills and a commitment to teamwork.
  • Willingness to learn and be a part of a ever developing care and PBS environment.

  • Rate of pay : £12.83 per hour. After completion of 6 months probationary period and training the rate of pay will increase.

ABOUT US

Reflect Education are independent care and education providers for children and adults with complex needs and learning difficulties in Carmarthenshire.
Alongside other settings Reflect Education operate The Well, a dedicated day centre for adults on the autism spectrum which is small and unique. We pride ourselves on being able to provide high levels of support (2:1) to a small number of service users to ensure excellent quality provision is maintained.
Reflect Education is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and adults and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. This position is subject to an enhanced DBS check.
