Job Title: Post 16 SEN Teacher – Mansfield
Location: Mansfield, Nottinghamshire
Start Date: September 2025
Contract Type: Full-Time, Long-Term
Pay Rate: £160 – £225 per day (depending on experience and qualifications)
About the Role
Provide Education are recruiting on behalf of a specialist SEN school in the Mansfield area who are seeking a dedicated Post 16 SEN Teacher to join their team from September. This is a full-time position, with interviews taking place prior to the summer holidays.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and learning to students aged 16+, many of whom have a range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), including Autism, SEMH, and complex learning needs. You will play a vital role in helping students develop life skills, independence, and vocational knowledge, ensuring they are prepared for adulthood.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to Post 16 learners with SEND.
  • Support students with developing both academic and vocational skills.
  • Work collaboratively with support staff, therapists, and external agencies.
  • Create an inclusive, safe, and supportive learning environment.
  • Manage behaviour positively and promote independence and resilience.
  • Track progress and provide regular feedback to pupils, parents, and senior staff.

Candidate Requirements

  • QTS or QTLS (essential).
  • Experience working with Post 16 learners, ideally within a SEN or alternative provision setting.
  • Strong understanding of differentiated teaching strategies for a wide range of needs.
  • A creative, flexible, and nurturing approach.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
