JOB OVERVIEW
We are looking for a Post-Doc to join our molecular parasitology team in the Lander laboratory under the supervision of Noelia Lander (https://homepages.uc.edu/~landerlab/wordpress/) at the University of Cincinnati. The post-doctoral trainee will be performing functional analysis of proteins involved in cell signaling in Trypanosoma cruzi. Dr. Lander’s recent funded NIH grant involves multi-disciplinary studies, and includes genetic manipulation of trypanosomes, phenotypic analyses of mutant cell lines, mammalian cell culture, proteomic and transcriptomic analyses, enzymatic activity, and state-of-the-art microscopy techniques, among other approaches to investigate cell signaling mechanisms in trypanosomatids. We have extensive experience in genome editing and cell signaling in T. cruzi (https://researchdirectory.uc.edu/p/landernm). This position offers an excellent opportunity to learn and apply cellular and molecular biology techniques. Qualified candidate should be able to work independently as well as in a group environment. The post-doc will train in a vibrant and nationally recognized academic setting.
Prospective candidates should have Ph.D. in Cellular Biology, Genetics, Biology, Microbiology or related field. Although it is not mandatory, the ideal candidate should have experience in basic molecular biology, cellular biology, and biochemistry techniques, cell culture and bioinformatics.
The intended start date, though flexible, is November 1st, 2025 – January 1st, 2026.
