Description
The Department of Medicine, Division of Cardiology, is seeking a Postdoctoral Associate who will be responsible for conducting cardiomyocyte (adult and neonatal) pathophysiology studies, maintaining and differentiating human induced pluripotent stem cells (hiPSCs), and performing genomic editing using CRISPR technology. They will carry out molecular biology experiments, including western blotting, and RNA/DNA extraction, and analysis. In addition, they will perform animal studies such as transaortic constriction surgery, swimming tests, drug administration, and tissue harvesting. The postdoc will analyze experimental data, prepare manuscripts for publication, and assist in grant applications. Minimum requirements – PhD in Clinical Medicine, Cardiovascular disease, or related field with experience in the same field in particular cardiac energetics and epigenetic regulation in heart failure development.
