Description

This position is at the Learning Research and Development Center (LRDC), a multi-disciplinary center for research to advance the science of learning by bringing together leading researchers in the cognitive, social, and educational sciences. As part of a Gates Foundation project, we are examining the ways in which AI can be used to help teachers plan their instruction, with a focus on high-quality task design. This Post-Doctoral Associate position will continue the work needed to complete this project. Position is expected to last for about 8 months, part-time, at 50%25 effort. The work requires someone with experience in secondary mathematics education, psychology of math learning, and experience with both qualitative and quantitative analysis. Degree- Major/Field/Concentration: Cognitive or Educational Psychology or Mathematics Education

Responsibilities

The Post-Doctoral Associate will continue the work needed to complete a Gates Foundation project examining the use of AI to help teachers plan their instruction. The focus will be on high-quality task design in secondary mathematics education.
