The University of Pittsburgh, Ophthalmology Department is looking for a Post Doctoral Associate in the laboratory of Dr. Anthony St. Leger. The Post Doctoral associate will be responsible investigating the B cell response towards eye-colonizing bacteria. This will be focused on characterizing the kinetics of the B cell response and assess the physiological relevance of this response during ocular surface health and disease. The Post Doctoral Associate should be proficient in B cell biology, flow cytometry, and in vivo mouse models of disease. Responsibilities: Carrying out experiments related to B cell responses against eye-colonizing bacteria Placing orders for mice and related experimental factors Understanding the literature related to the work Analytical skill required: Flow cytometric analysis, Statistics, organizational skills and attention to detail. PhD in Scientific field, Biochemistry preferred
