Seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Associate to join our multidisciplinary research team. The successful candidate will work under the mentorship of Dr. Nicole Scheff at UPMC Hillman Cancer Center, focusing on cancer neuroscience, neuroimmunology, and translational oncology. Responsibilities: Design, conduct, and analyze laboratory experiments related to mechanisms of tumor-nerve interactions in cancer progression. Develop and optimize experimental protocols independently and in collaboration with team members. Present research findings at lab meetings, institutional seminars, and national/international conferences. Prepare manuscripts for publication in peer-reviewed journals. Contribute to the mentorship of graduate and undergraduate students. Qualifications: PhD in neuroscience or immunology Strong background in animal models, flow cytometry, and immunology. Demonstrated record of productivity as evidenced by publications. Effective communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment. Preferred Experience (not required): Experience with mouse models of pain, flow cytometry. Familiarity with grant writing or fellowship applications.
