The College of Fisheries and Ocean Sciences (CFOS) at the University of Alaska Fairbanks (UAF) is seeking a highly motivated Post Doctoral Fellow in Fisheries Genomics based at Lena Point in Juneau, Alaska. To excel in this role, you should have a strong knowledge base in population genomics and fisheries applications, in addition to laboratory and analytical skills including whole genome sequence library preparation, genomic data QA/QC, genome assembly, variant calling, and delineation of genetic population structure.
The ideal candidate will have the ability to work independently, identify and refine research objectives, and prepare high-quality research publications for technical audiences. The College has over 150 faculty, researchers and staff based throughout Alaska, offering a rich and collaborative research environment.
