Industry/Service Higher Education Position Post-Doctoral Fellow – SCMC Digitalisation in SCM Purpose Post-Doctoral Fellow will play a key role in advancing cutting-edge research in the field of digitalization and Industry 4.0 within Supply Chain Management. The role involves conducting high-quality academic research, developing frameworks and models, and generating actionable insights to support industry transformation. Duration 1 Year Reporting to Chief Operating Officer - SCMC Principal Accountabilities & Responsibilities Conduct independent and collaborative research in the areas of supply chain digitalization, Industry 4.0, IoT, AI/ML, blockchain, and advanced analytics. Develop conceptual frameworks, models, and methodologies relevant to digital supply chain transformation. Publish in reputed peer-reviewed journals and present research findings at national and international conferences.? Collaborate with industry partners to apply research outcomes to real-world supply chain problems. Support proposal writing for research grants and contribute to ongoing sponsored research projects. Supervise and mentor research assistants, and interns associated with the Centre. Contribute to knowledge dissemination through case studies, policy briefs, and white papers. Perform other related duties as assigned Qualification and Personal Profile Candidate must have obtained Ph.D. degree in Management, Social Sciences or Engineering Demonstrated record of research publications in reputed peer-reviewed journals. Prior experience in data-driven research, simulation, or modelling will be an advantage. Exposure to funded research projects and academic-industry collaborations preferred. Key Skill and Ability Requirements Proficiency in data analytics tools (Python, R, MATLAB, SQL, or similar). Knowledge of digital technologies such as AI/ML, blockchain, IoT, cloud computing, and digital twins in supply chains. Ability to design and manage empirical/qualitative/quantitative research studies. Strong project management and organizational skills with ability to manage multiple deliverables. Capacity to translate complex research into practical implications for industry and policy. Commitment to ethical research practices, academic rigor, and continuous learning.
