Industry/Service Higher Education Position Post-Doctoral Fellow-SCMC Sustainability Lab Purpose We are seeking a highly motivated and intellectually curious Post-Doctoral Research Fellow who has demonstrated expertise in corporate governance, ESG, and sustainability. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in developing thought leadership, conducting high-impact research, and delivering critical national-level studies related to ESG performance and disclosures in India. Duration 1 Year Reporting to Chief Operating Officer - SCMC Principal Accountabilities & Responsibilities Lead and contribute to academic and applied research on ESG, corporate governance, and sustainability in the Indian context. Develop research papers, policy briefs, and case studies aligned with the lab’s focus areas. Conduct in-depth quantitative and qualitative analysis of BRSR (Business Responsibility and Sustainability Report) filings. Liaise with industry partners, regulators, and academic collaborators. Present findings at conferences, roundtables, and policy forums. Support capacity-building workshops and knowledge sessions for external stakeholders. Formulate research proposals for funded projects. Perform other related duties as assigned Qualification and Personal Profile Candidate must have obtained Ph.D. degree in Management, Social Sciences or Engineering . Candidate ideally should have handled research or consultancy assignments in the past. Experience of having worked with the statistical tools is desirable. Key Skill and Ability Requirements Interest – The candidate should have deep interest in the field of Sustainability and Climate Change. Deep understanding of corporate governance frameworks and ESG disclosure norms (especially SEBI’s BRSR framework). Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to translate complex data into actionable insights. Experience working with or analysing sustainability reports, ESG ratings, or corporate disclosures will be an advantage. Quantitative skills: It is desirable that applicant possess strong qualitative and quantitative analysis skills. The candidate must be comfortable with and capable of synthesizing large data sets into actionable insights. Positive attitude, a detail orientation and ability to interact with the senior leadership. The closing date for applications is 14 November 2025. Only shortlisted candidates will be intimated.
