ABOUT US

This post is based at the UCL Institute of Cardiovascular Science (ICS) with the main clinical base at Barts Heart Centre (BHC), St Bartholomew Hospital. UCL ICS and BHC are world-class institutions that together translate machine learning technologies into direct cardiovascular care for a population of six million people.

The post is funded to develop and apply machine learning models to use in pacemakers and implantable cardioverter-defibrillators (ICDs). This leverages a unique dataset for the largest population of patients with cardiac implantable electronic devices in the UK, advanced modelling and outcomes from population based registries. The post is funded through an academic research grant awarded to UCL, from the British Heart Foundation, for 24-months, full-time equivalent.
