Title of Post: Post Doctoral Researcher (Level 1) in Data Science

JOB SYNOPSIS

REPPP is a research collaboration between the School of Law in the University of Limerick and the Department of Justice. REPPP’s aim is to improve the evidence base in relation to youth crime and youth justice in Ireland supporting evidence informed reform in policy, programmes and practice. The REPPP team is responsible for implementing a research work programme on behalf of the Department of Justice. Current projects include: • Youth Diversion Projects Research and Development. • Improving Data Useability in the Youth Justice System. • Greentown Project to reduce the influence of criminal networks on young people and communities. • Implementation Research Projects. • Local Leadership Programme. • No Wrong Door Study – to improve services for young people in complex circumstances. • Stable Lives Safer Streets (HEA-funded partnership between University of Limerick and Queen’s University Belfast) • Other research projects as agreed with the Department of Justice. REPPP is now seeking to recruit a Post Doctoral Researcher with excellent quantitative research and data science skills to undertake applied research as part of a multi-disciplinary team located in the School of Law at the University of Limerick. The REPPP Post Doctoral Researcher will be assigned to work on a primary research project within the REPPP Department of Justice Youth Crime Work Programme but will also be expected to contribute to the research undertaken on other projects within the REPPP programme as required.

Salary Scale: €45,847 - €52,339 p.a. pro rata (maximum starting salary €50,968 p.a. pro rata)
