Glasgow City HSCP (Northeast Locality),
This exciting role will involve working with GPs and the primary care multidisciplinary teams to improve medicines management and deliver excellent patient care.
This role will involve delivery of the pharmacotherapy service as part of the GP contract and will provide an important function in supporting patients with their medicines.
This patient facing role will involve taking on a prescribing role and developing your own clinical caseload in line with Achieving Excellence strategy objectives.
The post holder will be supported to undertake their post-registration foundation framework.
You should have a sound clinical knowledge, good IT skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be able to prioritise workload to meet the demands of the service. The objectives of the team are to improve the quality and cost effectiveness of prescribing and medicines use for patients across NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde.
You will work closely with colleagues in the HSCP Pharmacy Team, GPs, other practice staff, community pharmacists, hospital pharmacy team, care home staff, members of the primary and acute healthcare team and central team colleagues in supporting the development and application of high quality, safe, cost effective, rational and evidence based prescribing in the Health and Social Care Partnership (HSCP).
Applicants should be members of the General Pharmaceutical Council of Great Britain.
This post requires PVG Scheme Membership/Disclosure Scotland Check. Minimum requirements Masters Degree in Pharmacy or equivalent Registrant with the General Pharmaceutical Council.
