Job Details Job Location: Corporate Center - Hagerstown, MD Position Type: Full Time Salary Range: $55000.00 - $65000.00 Salary/year Job Category: Sales Description Job Summary Provides leadership that maximizes the efficiency of Horizon Goodwill Donated Goods' retail supply chain, logistics, sustainability, and aftermarket operations. Areas of responsibility include inventory and processing centers, sales/disposition of aftermarket products, including outlets, recycling, salvage, and waste channels. Works with senior retail leadership team to develop and guide strategic direction, sustainability initiatives, and tactical plans. Operates effectively across functional boundaries while building and sustaining external and internal relationships. Essential Functions Production Facilities: Oversee responsible handling of donated goods in production facilities and/or warehouses. Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and efficiency standards. Manage production schedules, inventory, and labor/planning allocation. Implement continuous improvement initiatives. Outlet (Retail Operations): Drive retail performance and customer experience. Manage staffing, merchandising, and sales strategies. Monitor KPI’s: revenue, production, and inventory turnover. Salvage Operations: Develop and manage salvage/recovery strategies. Ensure compliance with environmental and regulatory standards. Coordinate logistics for salvageable goods and waste reduction. Cross-Functional Leadership: Lead and develop teams across departments. Collaborate with Finance, Human Resources, Logistics, Asset Protection, and Marketing. Report to executive leadership with operational insights and recommendations. Required Education and Experience A combination of a Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, or relevant field, and/or an education and relevant experience, which enables the individual to meet the standards and expectations of the position. A minimum of five (5) years of direct supervisory experience and management experience in a warehouse setting is strongly preferred. Experience with inventory management systems preferred. Experience with negotiating sales of recycling, surplus, salvage, or other commodities preferred. Excellent communication skills and ability to express in both written and verbal forms. Ability to define and analyze problems and draw valid conclusions. Ability to work cooperatively across the organization. Ability to make decisions using standards that can be measured. Ability to maintain confidentiality of data and information. Ability to provide strategic oversight to departments under his/her direction.
