Description

Primary purpose: This position supports high school students in preparing for life after graduation by guiding them through college, career, military, and workforce pathways. The role also oversees all state and district testing, including scheduling, compliance, and data reporting. The ideal candidate will connect students and families with resources while ensuring smooth, accurate test administration across the building. This position is made possible through a collaboration between CMC and LCSD and support of that partnership is an essential part of the role.
Length of Assignment: Follows the LCSD Calendar for 184 Contract Days.
Salary Range: $50,000 - $60,000 plus EXCELLENT benefits. Wage placement based upon related experience, education, and skills; salary and benefits prorated to the number of contract days upon hire.
Responsibilities:

Duties of this job include, but are not limited to:

  • Provide individualized guidance to students on post-secondary pathways including college, career, military, and workforce options.
  • Lead sections of post-secondary prep work/curriculum to 11th and 12th graders in collaboration with the counseling department.
  • Facilitate forecasting and scheduling conversations with 11th and 12th grade students to ensure students are taking the LCHS and CEPA courses they need to be ready for their post-secondary options as laid out in their Individualized Career and Academic Plan (ICAP).
  • Track and monitor 11th and 12th grade students’ progress of their Individualized Career and Academic Plan (ICAP) and graduation.
  • Support students with the college application process (ie. common app), including essays, recommendation requests, and application completion.
  • Coordinate FAFSA/CASFA, scholarship applications, and other financial aid support for students and families.
  • Coordinate and facilitate Scholarship Night and Graduation.
  • Design and facilitate a robust Capstone project/presentation for rollout in the 2026-2027 school year.
  • Build and maintain partnerships with colleges, universities, trade schools, and community organizations.
  • Primary point of contact with Colorado Mountain College for concurrent enrollment and post secondary matriculation to CMC and other colleges.
  • Organize visits to other CMC campuses.
  • Organize and lead post-secondary events such as college fairs, financial aid nights, mock interviews, and career exploration workshops, and be the primary point of contact for the bi-annual Career Fair.
  • Track and monitor student progress toward post-secondary readiness benchmarks.
  • Track and monitor graduation rates and matriculation.
  • Import and report data into the National Student Clearinghouse system.
  • Coordinate college visits.
  • Develop relationships with local scholarship committee and coordinate scholarships for students.
  • Serve as a resource for students and families navigating career exploration tools, ICAPs, and related programs.
  • Communicate regularly with families about opportunities, deadlines, and requirements for post-secondary planning.
  • Oversee all state-mandated and district-required assessments (PSAT, SAT, ACT, ACCESS, CMAS, etc.).
  • Develop, publish, and manage the school’s testing calendar in alignment with district and state requirements.
  • Train and support staff in test administration procedures and protocols.
  • Ensure compliance with all state and district testing security requirements and policies.
  • Coordinate logistics for testing, including room assignments, proctor scheduling, and accommodations.
  • Contribute to a school culture that emphasizes both post-secondary readiness and academic achievement.
  • Participate in faculty committees and the sponsorship of student activities.
  • Serve as a member of the Building Emergency Response Team (BERT) and Leadership Team, and Concurrent Enrollment team.
  • Supervise/chaperone student activities within the school day.
  • Develop strong relationships with students that both hold expectations high and support students to achieve high results within a calm, safe and supportive environment.
  • Other Duties as Assigned

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in a related field.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated success working with middle and high school students is preferred
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States
  • Must pass required fingerprinting with state and federal governments
  • Substitute license (District will pay for this)
  • Bilingual Spanish is preferred.
