Description

JOB REQUIREMENTS

The catalytic transformation of CO₂ into sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) through integrated reactor–catalyst systems offers a promising route to decarbonize air transport. Advanced reactor engineering and rational catalyst design underpin the thermodynamics and kinetics of these multi-step processes. This project will develop and evaluate novel reactor systems and catalyst materials, combined with comprehensive process analysis, to establish a scalable CO₂-to-SAF platform via alcohol route.
In this project you will develop and operate advanced flow/batch reactor systems alongside tailored catalyst materials to achieve targeted hydrocarbon product distributions. Your work will encompass system integration, material synthesis, and performance evaluation under relevant operating conditions.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • PhD in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science, or a closely related discipline.
  • Hands-on experience with high pressure flow/batch reactor operation and catalyst synthesis.
  • Proven track record in process development and optimization for gas-phase reaction systems.
  • Familiarity with analytical techniques for gas and liquid product analysis.
  • Expertise in material characterization methods (e.g., XRD, surface area analysis, spectroscopy, microscopy).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to optimize complex reaction processes.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, with a demonstrated publication record.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
