The iMAT group in the Section for Materials and Surface Engineering at DTU Construct is seeking a highly motivated postdoc to join an exciting DFF–funded project focused on developing innovative, multifunctional materials for energy storage and CO2 capturing. Responsibilities We seek highly motivated and creative researchers holding a PhD in chemistry, materials science, engineering, or a related discipline, with a proven track record of high-quality, independent research. Responsibilities: * Design and carry out organic and inorganic syntheses * Develop and optimize electrochemical experiments and measurements * Characterize materials and compounds using standard analytical techniques * Analyse data and document results * Collaborate with researchers across different disciplines * Contribute to publications, reports, and project deliverables You will also actively participate in the supervision and mentoring of bachelor’s, master’s, and PhD students. Qualifications: * MSc or PhD in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field * Solid experience in organic and/or inorganic synthesis * Practical experience with electrochemistry (e.g., cyclic voltammetry, impedance spectroscopy, electrode preparation) * Strong experience in analytical techniques (e.g., NMR, XPS, FTIR, UV-Vis, XRD) * A track record of using AI tools or data-driven methods in chemistry is considered an advantage * Ability to work independently and as part of a team * Good written and spoken English As a formal qualification, you must hold a PhD degree (or equivalent).  You should be a capable communicator in English and have solid experience in academic writing.
