A two-year position in microbial genetics and microbiota studies is available at the Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics, Aarhus University, Denmark.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Research area: Plant microbiome, Metagenomics, Microbial genetics.
Research project: The postdoc position is available in the group of Professor Simona Radutoiu within the section for Plant Molecular Biology. Investigations of wheat root microbiota and microbial components contributing to plant-microbe associations is a central theme in the group. Our microbial and plant genetics studies using simple and complex communities aim to elucidate plant and microbial functions governing root microbiota assembly in the rhizosphere and endosphere compartments. This postdoc project builds on our findings and aims to use advanced bioinformatics and microbial genetics methodologies to expand the knowledge on how microbes recognize, associate and survive in complex communities at the root-soil interphase. The project involves bacterial genome analyses, microbial genetics, metagenomics of commensals.
WHO WE ARE
The postdoc will be affiliated to the Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics.
