ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

  • A PhD in cognitive neuroscience, neuro-engineering, experimental psychology or other similar disciplines,
  • Extensive experience with the EEG methodology (ERPs, time-frequency analysis, functional connectivity),
  • Proficiency in statistics and statistical analysis tools (e.g., R, MATLAB, SPSS),
  • Proficiency in programming experiments (e.g., PsychoPy, Psychtoolbox),
  • Strong publication record,
  • Ability to properly report, organize and publish research reports,
  • Excellent spoken and outstanding written English skills,
  • Ability to conduct research independently.

Responsibilities

You will be working in a multicultural and multi-disciplinary group, where junior and senior scientists collaborate, each with their expertise, to carry out a scientific activity with a shared research goal.
The Social cognition in human-robot interaction Research unit is coordinated by Prof. Agnieszka Wykowska, the Human-Robot Interfaces and Interaction Research unit is coordinated by Prof. Arash Ajoudani
The project is related to studying cognitive load in human-robot collaboration. Your team would be multicultural and multi-disciplinary, where cognitive neuroscientists, experimental psychologists, and roboticists collaborate, each with their own expertise, to carry out common research vision.

Within the research team, your main responsibilities will be:

  • Designing experiments which use behavioral measures (performance, eye tracking, kinematics), EEG, and physiological markers to study cognitive load
  • Data collection and data analyses
  • Writing up results for scientific publications
