ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

We are looking for highly motivated, outstanding scientist with a background and PhD in Robotics or Software Engineering and strong background and interest in data-driven, machine learning control techniques and their practical application to robot loco-manipulation control.

The ideal candidate should also possess:

  • Strong academic and solid engineering background with hands-on experience in designing and developing autonomous control systems.
  • Excellent understanding and solid experience with Deep Learning and differential programming frameworks (e.g. TensorFlow, Pytorch), PCL, OpenCV, Cloud infrastructure, dataset collection and management, CUDA and parallel computing methods.
  • Solid understanding and hands on experience with robot modeling, motion planning and control (kinematics and dynamics, path planning, dynamic simulation and control software components)
  • Excellent knowledge and practical experience with designing, implementing and testing classical or machine learning based control methods on robotic systems.
  • Outstanding SW development and programming skills in C++, Python, ROS tools and libraries.

ADDITIONAL SKILLS

  • Experience from simulation to physical robot transfer for complex robotic platforms
  • Hands on experience with floating base robots
  • Strong problem solving attitude and analytical thinking
  • Flexible and creative team player with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a highly interdisciplinary environment
  • High motivation to learn
  • Good communication skills in English
  • Good in time and priority management
