Description

The Department of Biological and Chemical Engineering, Aarhus University, invites applications for a postdoctoral position of either one or two years, depending on available funding, offering applicants an exciting opportunity to join our research project to investigate how the difference in kinetics between acetogenic bacteria affect their microbial electrosynthesis performance.
The position is available from 1 June 2025 or as soon as possible thereafter.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The postdoctoral researcher will investigate how the H2 and CO2 consumption kinetics of different acetogenic bacteria affect their microbial electrosynthesis performance. Experiments to determine kinetic parameters will be performed, in addition to characterizations in microbial electrochemical reactors.

WHO WE ARE

You will be working in the ‘Microbial Electrosynthesis’ research group, headed by Associate Professor Jo Philips. This research group is part of the Section of Industrial Biotechnology at the Department of Biological and Chemical Engineering at Aarhus University.
