REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

DVM equivalent degree and PhD in pharmacology with a focus on neuroscience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Publications in high-impact neuroscience journals relevant to disease-modification in experimental models of epilepsy.

SUMMARY OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

This position will be working on the NIH-funded U01 project, which has both mechanistic and translational perspectives.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

• Conducting in vivo experiments to test the efficacy and toxicity of test drugs
• Analyzing the data
• Drafting manuscripts for publication
• Generating preliminary data for grant applications
