REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
A Ph.D. in fundamental physics or a relevant field, such as mathematics, statistics, astrophysics, or computer science.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
Prof. Aishik Ghosh’s interdisciplinary research group designs Artificial Intelligence (AI) techniques to answer fundamental questions about our Universe. These questions are challenging on several fronts: theoretical calculations, data analysis, and experiment design.
Position overview:
The group collaborates closely with computer scientists, astrophysicists and gravitational / black hole physicists, particle physicists (primarily in collider and neutrino domains) and statisticians at Georgia Tech, Berkeley National Lab, CERN and across the world. For further details, see https://profaishikghosh.github.io/.
The successful candidate will work on one of these research themes and should have relevant expertise.
The postdoc will also have the option to work within an experiment collaboration.
